Hi! I’m Chasity.

Think of me as your bougie, wine-loving cousin who does her best to put you on to the most delicious wines out there.

Let’s toast it up!

Started in Bordeaux, Now I’m Here: My Partnership with Alliance Française Chicago

When I visited France for the first time two years ago, I really didn’t know what to expect, but I knew I would be enamored in more ways than one. Aside from the incredible wine culture that I was there to explore, I was blown away by the food, the history, and the astonishing architecture.

Exploring Bordeaux felt like a complete whirlwind, but the experience has stuck with me, and I find myself thinking about the beautiful countryside often. The city of Bordeaux itself is quite popping too – not only was it very walkable, but it still has an air of rich history that is hard to miss. And as a wine enthusiast, it was a dream to visit the wine capital of the world and to cement my love for Left Bank Bordeaux.

That’s why when the Alliance Française Chicago reached out to partner in elevating their work here in Chicago, I couldn’t refuse. Located in the River North neighborhood, AF Chicago is 120 years old, and the second largest after the Alliance Française in New York City. Here, you can take French classes, attend cultural events like moving screenings and workshops, and of course, learn all about French wine and gastronomy.

I am thrilled to be taking an 8-week French course (oui, oui!) and can’t wait to dive into the language, culture, and literature of France even more. Currently, AF Chicago offers in-person, online, and hybrid classes at all levels.

If you’re in Chicago and want to learn more about what the Alliance has to offer and to sign up for an upcoming French course, check out more information below!

Au revoir for now!
